DPW TITLE HISTORY

The DPW Championship

Is one of the most sought after and coveted titles in the Midwest independent circuit today. Controversy surrounded the inaugural championship match on August 22nd, 2021 when it was revealed that former DPW owner Eric Nordrum had promised Paul Virk a spot in that match, only for it to be taken away by former DPW General Manager Alex Riley. While Sierra would climb the ladder and pick up the victory to become the first ever DPW Champion, this would ultimately send Virk on a multi-year crusade to rid DPW of Eric and Alex and acquire the DPW Championship at all cost. Virk would influence and infect the minds of other DPW wrestlers by insinuating that they had been held down by management, leading to the birth of Sentry, the demonic and sadistic inner circle that surrounds Paul Virk.

Virk and Sentry would make good on their promises to exile Eric Nordrum and Alex Riley from the company at DPW 5 when Virk defeated Alex Riley for control of DPW. As expected, Virk would book himself vs Sierra at DPW 6: Entry Level Exile, where Sentry would allow Virk to finally secure the DPW title.
