DULUTH, Minn. (Discover Pro Wrestling) - Sierra has made her first move in the fight to take back Discover Pro Wrestling.
Discover Pro Wrestling announced Sunday that All Elite Wrestling’s Dante Martin will represent Team DPW at DPW 9: Glass House, joining Sierra’s side in the upcoming battle against Team Sentry.
The announcement immediately raises the stakes for one of the biggest matches in DPW history. If Team DPW defeats Team Sentry, ownership of the company will return to DPW founder Eric Nordrum. If Team Sentry wins, Eric can never challenge for company ownership every again.
For Martin, the match is about more than helping Sierra restore control of DPW. It is also a chance at revenge.
Martin’s history with Paul Virk and Sentry dates back to DPW 7: God Complex, where Virk celebrated his shocking DPW Championship win by inviting the AEW star to Duluth for a title match. At the time, questions surrounded Virk’s motives. Why would the new champion willingly defend the DPW title against one of the most explosive wrestlers in the country unless he had a plan?
That answer came at the beginning of DPW 7.
Virk’s true goal was to lure Martin into Sentry. For a moment, it appeared the plan had worked. Martin put on a Sentry T-shirt, seemingly aligning himself with the group that had seized control of DPW.
But it was a trap.
With Virk’s back turned, Martin attacked the masked members of Sentry and dropped Virk in the middle of the ring, making it clear he had no intention of joining the faction.
Later that night, Virk and Martin met in the main event with the DPW Championship on the line. The match ended in controversy in what has since become known as “The Duluth Screwjob.”
In the closing moments, Virk locked Martin in a headlock guillotine. Martin appeared to still be fighting out of the hold when referee T.J. Bowles suddenly called for the bell, awarding the match to Virk.
The decision allowed Virk to retain the DPW Championship, but it also left Martin with unfinished business.
Now, one year later, Martin returns to Duluth with a clear path to payback. A win for Team DPW would not only strike back at Virk and Sentry, but would immediately return ownership of the company to Nordrum.
Sierra’s decision to make Martin her first pick also sends a message. Team DPW is not simply trying to survive Sentry’s control. It is recruiting people who have been directly affected by Virk’s manipulation and are willing to fight back.
The question now becomes how Virk will respond. Sentry has survived through planning, intimidation and numbers. But Martin’s return gives Team DPW a dangerous weapon: someone Virk already tried and failed to control.
DPW 9: Glass House is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth. Tickets are available at discoverprowrestling.com.
