The Rise of Sentry in Discover Pro

Since its inception, Discover Pro Wrestling has been a battleground where heroes and villains clash, but few could have predicted the shadowy rise of Sentry, the faction now poised to reshape the landscape of DPW. Lurking in the shadows since the beginning, Sentry has been waiting for the perfect moment to strike, and that moment has finally arrived.

Sentry’s rise began before DPW 1: The Warmth of Warfare. Over three years ago, Paul Virk, a cunning strategist with a thirst for power, set out to become the first-ever Discover Pro Wrestling Champion, an opportunity afforded to him by former Discover Pro owner, Eric Nordrum. With a dominant reign on Virk's horizon, he began envisioning how he would rule over Discover Pro and this vision included assembling the pieces of what would become Sentry.

One of Virk's first recruits was the enigmatic wrestler known only as X. Shrouded in mystery, X’s motivations are clear, however his brutal in-ring style speaks for itself. Alongside X is Rampage Santana, a former fan favorite who stunned the DPW fans by turning his back on the people who once cheered for him. Santana’s betrayal was a blow to the fans, but it signaled the strength of Virk’s influence.

For Sentry, their grievances weren’t against their opponents in the ring—they had their sights set on DPW’s former General Manager, Alex Riley. Riley’s decision to deny Virk the title shot at DPW 1 was the spark that lit the fire, setting into motion a series of events that would lead to Sentry’s rise to power. Despite their collective talent and desire, Sentry remained in the shadows, waiting for the right opportunity to emerge.

That opportunity came at DPW 5: Salt the Wound, when Paul Virk finally took his shot. In a match that will be remembered for its intensity, Virk defeated Alex Riley, putting an end to Riley’s tenure and taking complete control of Discover Pro Wrestling. With Riley vanquished, Sentry revealed their full strength, including a group of masked assailants who had been terrorizing DPW for months.

Now, with Paul Virk and Sentry at the helm, DPW enters a new era—one where the rules are rewritten, and the power dynamic shifts. What will this mean for the wrestlers who have thrived under the old regime? Will we see new alliances formed in the face of this looming threat, or will Sentry’s dominance go unchallenged?

As DPW looks toward the future, one thing is certain: under Paul Virk’s leadership, nothing will ever be the same.
